About me
Hello there! My name is Lyera, I’m an artist/illustrator focusing on making character illustrations in watercolors and “Digital” watercolors.
Art has always been my passion. Working, developing characters and their stories has always been something that interested me a lot. After graduating London University of Arts in MA Character Animation, I worked as a freelance artist for a few years and then later found my way into Games Industry in Japan and worked there for 6 years. I have a wide experience in this industry but I have never stopped drawing if not for commercial purposes, for myself as a hobby.
Here I want to showcase my recent work, some of my most favorite pieces.
I adore working with watercolors because this medium gives me the biggest pleasure and thrill. There is nothing like holding a finished original illustration in your hands. Later I have started working digitally mixing best features of both approaches: endless opportunity to develop and improve your piece digitally and then finalize the result with watercolors. And recently, with the new tablets and dynamic world I have decided to try to switch to the digital side as well. But I want to keep my watercolor experience despite working digitally.
